Connecting Third-party Apps (Zoho Books)

Already run your accounting in Zoho Books, track vehicles with a GPS provider, or collect payments through your own Razorpay account? The Third-party Apps page lets you connect those services to Rentablez once, so data flows between them automatically instead of being copied by hand.

This page covers the connectable apps that ship today — with Zoho Books as the main example — and how to connect, review, and disconnect each one.

Why Connect an External App?

  • No double entry — invoices and customers you create in Rentablez can flow into your accounting system.
  • One source of truth — connect the account you already use, so numbers match across tools.
  • Secure by design — connections are made through the provider’s own sign-in or API keys; you can revoke a connection at any time.

Opening the Third-party Apps Page

  1. Open Settings from the main menu.
  2. In the settings sidebar, expand the Integrations group.
  3. Select Third-party Apps.

You’ll see a card for each available app, each showing a Connected or Not connected status badge and a short description of what it does.

You need the Settings (write) permission to connect or disconnect apps. If your role only has read access, the Connect and Disconnect buttons appear disabled. Ask an administrator to grant Settings write access. See Configuring Roles & Permissions.

Zoho Books

Zoho Books is a cloud accounting product. Connecting it lets Rentablez keep your bookkeeping in step with your rental activity.

What Syncs

FeatureWhat it does
Invoice SyncKeeps your Rentablez invoices aligned with Zoho Books.
Customer SyncKeeps your customer records aligned with Zoho Books.

Connecting Zoho Books

The connection uses Zoho’s own secure sign-in — Rentablez never sees your Zoho password.

  1. On the Zoho Books card, select Connect.
  2. A Zoho sign-in window opens in a small popup. Sign in to the Zoho account you want to link.
  3. Review the access Zoho asks you to grant, then approve it.
  4. The popup closes on its own and the page refreshes. The Zoho Books card now shows a green Connected badge and the name of the linked Organization.

Allow popups for Rentablez. The sign-in window opens as a browser popup. If nothing happens when you select Connect, check that your browser isn’t blocking popups for this site, then try again.

Stay signed in to Rentablez. If your session has expired you may see a Login required message on the card. Sign in to Rentablez again, then start the connection.

If the window is left open too long, or you close it before finishing, Rentablez cancels the attempt and you can simply select Connect again.

After Connecting

Once connected, the Zoho Books card displays:

  • A Connected status badge.
  • The Organization name of the linked Zoho Books account, so you can confirm you linked the right one.

Disconnecting Zoho Books

  1. On the Zoho Books card, select Disconnect.
  2. A confirmation dialog appears. Select Disconnect to confirm.

This removes all stored Zoho Books authentication data from Rentablez. Your Zoho Books account itself is untouched, and you can reconnect at any time by selecting Connect again.

Other Available Apps

The same page hosts a few more connectable services. They live alongside Zoho Books and follow the same connect / status / disconnect pattern.

TrackNerd (GPS Fleet Tracking)

Connects the TrackNerd IoT platform for live vehicle tracking, fleet status, and trip reports.

  1. On the TrackNerd card, select Connect.
  2. Enter your TrackNerd Username and Password in the inline form.
  3. Select Connect. When it succeeds, the card shows a Connected badge along with the linked organisation and user.

To remove it, select Disconnect and confirm.

Razorpay (Your Own Payment Gateway)

Connects your own Razorpay account so customers pay directly into it, rather than through the platform’s default gateway.

  1. On the Razorpay card, select Connect.
  2. Enter your Key ID and Key Secret. You can optionally add an Account / Business Name to label the connection.
  3. Select Connect. Once linked, the card shows the account name, a masked key, and whether the keys are Test or Live.

To remove it, select Disconnect and confirm. Payments then fall back to the platform gateway.

Razorpay and TrackNerd are aimed at businesses operating in India. Availability of a card depends on your plan and region.

Coming Soon

The page also lists apps that are planned but not yet available — currently logistics providers such as Shiprocket and Delhivery. These appear under a Coming Soon heading and can’t be connected yet; they’re shown so you know what’s on the way.
